Meet The Team

Jerry has over 16 years experience as an operator, owner and developer of Senior Housing. He is a founding partner of Pathway Senior Living, LLC which has developed and operated over 2,000 units of senior housing & assisted living residences throughout the Midwest. Jerry is the President of the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition and sits on the Executive Board of the American Seniors Housing Association and Government Affairs Roundtable of the Assisted Living Federation of America. Jerry earned a Masters in Management Degree (MBA) from Northwestern University’s Kellog Graduate School of Management, majoring in both Real Estate and Finance.

Jim has over 30 years of experience in real estate syndication, investment and management. His responsibilities include project origination and development, acquisition management and finance. He oversees a detailed due diligence process that turns over the rocks to uncover hidden advantages and hidden pitfalls. Jim is President of the Real Estate Investment Association (REIA) and a Director of the Illinois and Michigan Housing Council. Jim is also active with the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition and the American Seniors Housing Association. He is also a member of the steering committee and an adjunct professor at DePaul University. Jim holds a Master’s degree in urban planning from Wayne State University.

With more than 25 years’ experience as a development project manager, construction manager and architect, Bob is responsible for design and construction of Pathway’s projects. His passion for conservation is helping to transform seniors’ housing building and operational practices. In fact, the latest Pathway community, Victory Centre of South Chicago, is one of the nation’s first LEED-certified seniors’ housing developments. Bob has served on several planning and advisory boards and is also past chair of the Hamlin Park Planning Committee. He has been active in the American Institute of Architects-Committee of the Environment and the Urban Land Institute Enterprise Zone Committee. Bob earned his MBA from Northwestern University with majors in finance and real estate, a Master’s in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Notre Dame.

Nicole is a marketing professional with nearly 20 years of sales experience in the senior living industry and over 10 years of sales management experience. A graduate of Western Michigan University with a BA in Psychology and Sociology, Nicole also completed graduate course work in Industrial Organizational Psychology at Roosevelt University. As a member of the executive team, Nicole is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the sales and marketing efforts for the ever-expanding portfolio of Pathway Senior Living communities and all Pathway acquisitions and management contracts nationwide. Nicole sits on the Assisted Living Federation of America’s Sales and Marketing Executive Roundtable.

Karen has over 20 years experience working with seniors in diverse settings including geriatric rehabilitation, private duty home care, geriatric care management and assisted living. As a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Masters of Arts degree in Gerontology, she has held a variety of positions including Vice President of Nursing and Illinois Director of Community Care. Karen is a Certified Care Manager and serves on the Advisory Council for the Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging.
