Our History
Pathway Senior Living is a privately held, Chicago-based company managed by an experienced team dedicated to improving the lives of older adults. The innovative, award-winning company develops, owns, operates, and/or manages market-rate and mixed-income independent living and assisted living communities in the Midwest.
With the support of various stakeholders, including Life Services Network of Illinois and the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition, Pathway’s portfolio has grown to include 13 affordable assisted living communities (supportive living) consisting of over 1,000 units, one assisted living community as well as 7 affordable senior apartment buildings (independent living).
Pathway was formed as a partnership in 1997 between Jerome E. Finis, E. James Keledjian, Robert H. Helle and Brian Cloch, each of whom brought expertise in the areas of business strategy, financing, development and operations respectively. Today, those partners remain as key investors and champions of the company.
