Applying with Us

Pathway conveniently offers the option to apply for a job online. By simply submitting your resume for a specific job posting, you’ll receive a confirmation email that verifies we’ve received your information for a specific job posting. We’re always looking for eager, dedicated and compassionate employees like you, and will keep your information in our database for review when a position becomes available. We search through our database frequently, so if you apply for a position but aren’t selected for an interview, don’t worry; you may still be considered for another position in the future.

Preparing for your Interview

As the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. It’s important to make sure you are prepared when you speak with a hiring representative. Here are some helpful tips to better prepare you for a successful interview.

  • Learn more about our company and the position to gain a better understanding of the culture and the needs of the job.
  • Give some thought to how your skills and experiences can be useful in the position for which you are applying. Pinpoint specific examples of past experiences you want to share using the STAR method.
  • S – Situation – What was the situation in which you took action?
  • T – Task – What tasks were your responsibility in that situation?
  • A – Action – What action(s) did you take that went above and beyond – what did you say or do – to respond to the situation and task?
  • R – Result – What was the outcome of your actions?
  • When called for an interview, make sure you confirm the key details of the interview date, time, location, and with whom you will be meeting.
  • Dress for success. Presenting a professional image through appropriate attire and grooming is an indicator of how serious you are about wanting to work for our company.

You’re Hired!

Getting the call with an offer to join a new employer is always a memorable experience and leaves any candidate feeling elated. And when that employer is someone like Pathway Senior Living, it is all the more reason to celebrate!

If you receive an offer to join our team, it’s okay to take some time to think about it and discuss the offer with your significant other, family and/or friends. We’d rather you carefully consider your options now rather than making a snap decision and changing your mind later. Just be sure to make your decision in the time frame you provide.

After you accept an offer, expect to hear from your supervisor between the offer date and your start date. We’re just as excited as you are, so we want to make sure you’re ready for your first day by discussing your start date and time, where to go when you arrive, and what types of clothing would be acceptable to wear.

Our new hire orientation can help ease your jitters by acclimating you with your surroundings and giving you an in-depth look at your new position. Certain positions benefit from the additional advantage of a shadow program where you can shadow a peer in a similar role.

If You Don’t Receive an Offer

Only one person can get an available job, so if you don’t receive a job offer this time, stay positive. Ask for feedback about your interview to help you determine what to work on for future interviews. And if you don’t understand the feedback, please ask for clarification.

If you’re interview went well but another candidate was selected to fill the position, rest assured. We keep your application in our database and may consider you for similar positions – or even other positions – that may be a better fit for you.
